How is it like to be a fourth year student at university?

I really don’t know how to explain my thoughts about being a fourth year student at university; however I can state that I feel so complicated.

On the one hand, it is the busiest year I have spent at the university. Not only do I deal with lots of school lessons, projects and presentations, but also I have to prepare for an exam, named KPSS, to be an English teacher in my country. Think about that, you have spent nearly five years at the university taking nearly all lessons which are necessary to be a qualified English teacher; however, when you are a fourth year student, you are obliged to pass an exam which include the lessons I haven’t dealt with for nearly five years such as math, history, geography. I have difficulties in understanding the concept or intention underlying this exam. I believe that the lessons I have taken at the university until now is enough for me to be proficient in teaching English to the students in my country’s schools. Moreover, I should concentrate on the school lessons, which are essential for my education. There are some projects, exams and presentations that I have to handle. That is to say, I always try to keep balance between studying my lessons at university and preparing for KPSS. While keeping this balance, I have little time to enjoy myself going outside with my high school friends or cousins. Some of my friends sometimes complain about not spending time with me:(. And I have really difficulties in making them believe that I’m the busiest person in this life :).

On the other hand, being a forth year student at university is worrying; because a year later I will have graduated from the university and from this time on I won’t be a student. When I think the years I have spent with my friends at the university, I don’t want to graduate and leave some of them. Now I remember that one day, some of my girl friends came to watch our football match in the evening. I spent great time in ‘spring festivals’ at the university with some of them. Moreover, we went to picnic and ate ‘sucuk’ (a special Turkish meal :) ) with them. When taking all these situations into the consideration, it is hard to think about leaving my friends, teachers and university. I will never forget the years I have spent at the university. Besides them after the graduation, I will have to take some responsibilities to earn money and make my living, because I know that my parents won’t give money whenever I want and I won’t take a scholarship from the government. Moreover, I am glad that the period of university life ends because I have some targets after the university, such as earning so much money, buying an expensive car (black or white Seat/Leon :) ) and having a holiday in Marmaris. In order to make these targets real, I should immediately graduate from the university and start to make money.

In brief, I want to state that this process is so confusing and I try to make this process more meaningful for me.
